I am a licensed Social Worker with an MSW from Hunter College. I work from a systems perspective that acknowledge the cumulative impact of diverse factors in our lives on the ways that we think, feel, and act. Questions of identity are central to my practice: I believe that you are the expert on your own life and the author of your own story. Based on your individual strengths and goals, we will work together to develop strategies for moving forward based on a variety of modalities including solution-focused, narrative, psychodynamic, and behavioral therapy. Prior to my social work career, I worked in the arts and editorial fields, most recently at a magazine specializing in attention deficit disorder. In my spare time, I love to read novels and memoirs, and I also know quite a bit about children’s literature.
