Our multidisciplinary team of highly skilled clinicians provide gender affirmative care for all ages and life stages. We deal with all types of mental health issues and life issues, from childhood trauma through bereavement and end of life issues. A list of some of our specialties can be found on the right.
We provide marriage/relationship/couples counseling as well, in an impartial atmosphere. In addition to assessing the issues related to the relationship, we look at individual issues that may come into play. Many of our couples decide to seek individual treatment as well. Our goal is to work on conflict resolution, better communication, and family related issues, in addition to interpersonal problems.
Child and adolescent counseling and family counseling are of paramount importance to us at Social Work Counseling Services. When your child is the primary client, we work with all of the systems involved in your child’s life to coordinate and implement the most effective treatment plan for them. Family counseling is generally indicated, as we look at the entire dynamic of the family and the needs of all of its members. Frequently, families need to address issues together, as well as individually. We believe it is important to support individual members of the family as well as the family as a whole in order to take steps in changing unhealthy patterns of communication and behavior.
